Shunammite Initiative
Shunammite Initiative (U) Limited is a legally registered Community-Based Organization (CBO) operating in Uganda. Founded with a passion for holistic community empowerment, we are a not-for-profit entity committed to empowering communities through inclusive and grassroots-led initiatives, a holistic approach that integrates reproductive health services, economic empowerment for women and youth, life skills development, and climate justice advocacy.
We believe in the principles of compassion, stewardship, integrity, and service to others. Our organization is inspired by Christian values and teachings, particularly the biblical story of the Shunammite woman (2 Kings 4), whose hospitality, faith, and generosity reflect the heart of our mission. We welcome people of all backgrounds while upholding the love of Christ as the foundation of our work.
Our CBO was formed out of a Christian women’s shared vision to create a healthier, more sustainable, and equitable future for the people of Uganda-Africa. We work particularly with Women, adolescents, and youth, providing opportunities and resources that uplift lives and enable community-driven development.

Our Core Values
